You may have seen the post that Emily wrote a few weeks back showing you DIY gift wrap ideas using everyday materials. Well. . . she inspired me. Last night I sat on my living room floor and pulled together all kinds of inspiration I had been collecting to wrap my holiday gifts. First of all, I have this thing about my holiday gifts and tree coordinating with my decor. Yes, I am one of those. This last year my living space morphed into a yellow and gray color palette, with a few greens and teals mixed in. I like non-traditional holidays, so yellow and gray holiday wrap fits my taste perfectly! I started by wrapping all my gifts with a roll of craft painter paper I had picked up at Home Depot. Ahhh, brown paper packages. . . I then printed on two sides of standard printer paper a few patterns, illustrations and solid colors to coordinate with my look. Armed with scissors, scotch tape, a tag punch, my sewing machine and leftover ribbon and twine I got to work. This is what I came up with:
Stay tuned for my all-paper (plus lights) holiday tree decorations! I am having too much fun. Cheers! Lia

Oh Lia, those are beautiful! I’m happy to have inspired THESE! I love the idea of printing onto kraft paper for wrapping purposes. Why didn’t I think of that? I love the garland. I need to pull out my sewing machine and learn to use it. :P
The print on the craft paper was actually some leftover yellow wall paint and stamped with some letters from my vintage woodblock collection. Ink would have worked better, but it is still fun.
Beautiful work. I love the non-traditional palette. Very inspiring!
Amazing work as always, ellinée!!
They are absolutely beautiful! I’m so inspired now to wrap my presents! I love it, thank you so much for sharing!

Thanks, Lily!
Simply BEAUTIFUL – Gorgeous! These colors altogether…love it!
I love the muted colour combination. So simple, stylish and understated which is right up my alley! Where can I find printed papers like these chevron and floral?
Hello Janine. I actually made those papers by printing them onto 11X17 paper. You have inspired me to post them as a download. Look for them on Wednesdays post.
I love this combination!!! Amazing Lia! Simply amazing!
Thanks! I am doing another non-traditional holiday for myself again this year starring Teal. :-)
Your packages are so pretty and I have this linked to my gift wrapping post too today!
Thanks for the link Heather!
