Happy weekend everyone! Here is a last minute New Year’s Eve decoration that you can make using your leftover Christmas wrapping paper. Upcycle that gold and silver paper by making these beautiful paper star medallions. These are inspired by the vintage star we used in our New Year’s Eve party kit post. I gathered 5 different gold and silver rolled papers leftover from the Christmas wrapping frenzy, and made large, medium and small start for gorgeous New Year’s Eve party decorations. Below you will find the tutorial for these paper star medallions. Cheers! ~ Lia

Thank you so much Lia! I’m about to try to make these for my party tomorrow night! My theme is Alice in Wonderland with a modern adult twist- all done in Gold and Black! So these are just perfect to match with my dots garland! You are the best! ;)Happy New Year!!
What a great idea. I want to see photos!
Hello! I’m french and even if my english is very bad, i love your ideas and tuto ! I keep your website ni my favorite on mine ! See you soon
Thanks Alice! I was just in France last month… I will be back soon. :-)
Great! Where do you come from? England, USA? Australia?….?
Hello Alice. I am from Portland, Oregon, USA.
Tres chic! I love it! Only I will cut them out on my sweet Silhouette digital cutter. I have several different patterns to choose from, and it will perfectly perforate those folds. I made rosettes with snowflakes on top for door/stair rail decor this year. Now I’ll recycle them to grace packages next year. The metallics you used are fabulous.
You are very lucky to have one! Maybe someday I will splurge and get myself one as well. ;-)
Wow, those are gorgeous! I’m a little intimidated, though; that’s a lot of folding!! I love how you can do it in any color paper you want, though–may be worth it!
If you can get through the folding it is worth it! Yes, any paper will work for these.
Beautiful!
Thanks Jill!
Beautiful! I pinned this for later parties! Thanks for sharing!
Yes, I think they would work great for parties year round. :-)
