While on our trip to New York for the National Stationery Show this last weekend, Lauren made a funny little discovery about me. I have an obsession for maps! I love books of maps, globes, vintage maps and most of all. . . the map on my iPhone. I did remind her that my obsession did keep us from hopping the wrong Subway train a few times, as I constantly tracked our steps throughout Manhattan on my phone. Because of our little laugh about my “mappassion”, she suggested that today’s post somehow use images of maps. So here you are! This vintage map themed fabulous freebie makes the perfect DIY gift for the graduate, a personalized birthday gift or a great Father’s Day present for the traveling dad. Happy Memorial Day and we will see you all on Tuesday! ~Lia

Have a great day!
Wonderful post! I was so inspired by it I am adding a map patter to my post for tomorrow.
These could make beautiful projects.
Book covers for your Travel Agenda, International Friends Address Book, Travel Diary.
Case covers for Passport & Tickets, and for Lia a cover for a map case, for all the maps she collects on her travels.
I was thinking of covering a box with these, to keep all the little mementos collected on trips. Maybe use some of those book shaped boxes, and have start a library. You could have one for each trip or vacation. Wonderful designs and Inspirations, always!
I am crazy about maps and globes. When I post my loft photos… you will see them everywhere. Oohhh. The idea of covering a book shaped box for each trip and keep the momentos of that trip in the box. Great thinking!
Great site! Thanks for the freebie! I’m challenged at getting the font centered on the notecard pdf. Any tips? Thanks so much!
Thanks Analyn. I just tweeked the file to help the centering. Download it and try it again and let me know if that helps at all.
It didn’t, but thanks for trying. What beautiful work you do!
One other thought. Did you download and add to your fonts folder the free font that is listed on this post. If it is not centering it may be that it is using a default font that is not the same size.
Great post. Thank you:)
Happy you like it. :-)
Merci beaucoup, c’est vraiment très élégant et très beau.
Happy you like it!
Absolutely wonderful!!!!! I must admit I have a thing for maps too especially historical maps and globes. Have found many at State Archives and Heritage agencies to copy.
What a great idea Nadine!
