Valentine’s Day is coming our way! I am loving the soft pastel trend mixed with touches of gold and ecru, so to change it up from last year’s bright pink and hot orange combo, my heart garland today is using these lovely vintage French inspired colors. This garland is an easy DIY and all you will need are prints of the pink & gold heart PDF, scissors, pastel or gold metallic thread and a sewing machine. I used one printed PDF for each strand on a letter weight printer paper (rather than card stock), but you can make yours as long or short as you like. Below is the tutorial for the garland and at the end of the post you will find the button to download and print the pink and gold hearts.

Love this. Can take this concept & apply it to a lot. Will be great for our 2013 wedding commissions. Thank you
Yes, you could use any shape really.
oh my! loads of ideas come to mind! just finished a huge work project.. so will finally have my weekends back. thanks for the inspiration.
I would love to hear how you use them!
These are a delight! My printer doesn’t do color so well so I used patterned colored paper from the scrapbook aisle at Hobby Lobby, and they turned out really cute. I never would have thought of sewing them together! I’m thinking of doing somethng similar in a daisy pattern for spring & summer.
Great idea Terri. Yes, the sewing trick is a good one.
