Hello everyone! For all of you who have asked that we update these DIY party hats from last year for your 2013 New Year’s Eve event. . . your wish has come true. Below is the tutorial so once you download and print the PDF templates by clicking the button at the end of the post, you can assemble these party toppers along with me in the photo instructions. Tomorrow we will be posting the full party kit to match this retro look, the design updated so you can ring in 2013 in style.
Thank you Emily and Alex for sharing your New Year’s cheer in these photos as you did last year. Trivia: Emily is my daughter and Alex (her boyfriend) is our brilliant blog designer and developer. We all get to wear a few different hats at our studio, quite literally. :-)

Oh my goodness, these are so fun! I think my husband might actually wear this, so I’m excited for our New Year’s festivities. Thanks for sharing!

The crown hat is fantastic. Do you have this in a plain, outlined pattern that could be used for princess crowns, etc. Love the idea! – Marsha
Not yet but you can use it as a template to cut any paper. There is a princess crown coming to our blog in 2013. Shhhhh. ;-)
