Can you believe that it is already November? Time flies when you are having fun creating, dreaming, and crafting. Seriously though, next month is December which means it is time to start thinking about holiday parties. We have some amazing holiday party ideas and inspiration in the works for this season which we will be sharing in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, we wanted to share with you one of our favorite Christmas themed parties we designed last year, an ugly sweater party. Below you will find inspirational party photos and tips for throwing an ugly sweater bash.
Tis the season for holiday parties! If you are looking to make this year’s shindig truly unforgettable then an ugly Christmas sweater party is a must! Tacky decorations, festive food platters, and ugly sweaters create an atmosphere full of holiday cheer guaranteed to be a sure fire hit with your guests!
TIPS FOR THROWING THE ULTIMATE UGLY SWEATER BASH:
Invitations: Set the tone for your party by sending your guests ugly sweater party invitations like the ones pictured above. Let your guests know ugly sweaters are required and that prizes will be awarded for the ugliest sweater!
Contest: Set up a voting station for guests to vote for the ugliest sweater. Announce the winners and hand out ribbons for ugly, uglier, and ugliest sweaters.
Decorations: The tackier the better! Deck the halls with Christmas lights, tinsel, bows, paper snowflakes and wrapping paper. You will find tons of fun décor at your local dollar store! Print out the garland included in the Share Holidays ugly sweater party kit. Dress up beverage glasses or cups with festive beverage stickers.
Music: Create a party playlist of your favorite Christmas songs – our personal favorite is the Glee Christmas Album.
Finding an ugly sweater: Take a trip to Goodwill or any used clothing store during the holiday season – you’ll find some seriously hideous sweaters! Also, browse through your grandma’s closet.
How to make your ugly sweater even uglier: If you found an ugly sweater and think it is not ugly enough, why not make it uglier? Visit your local craft store and pick up puff paints, sequins, ribbons, fuzzy pom pom balls, and anything that would make your sweater uglier!

They are very ugly indeed.
You should think about changing the font or color or something on your blog. I began reading it, but the font/coloring is so awefully hard to see I couldn’t finish.
Thanks for your feedback. We will look into making it more readable. Every monitor varies in color and strength, so it is tough to know.
